Take a Step campaign

When headspace National launched their Take a Step campaign we embraced the opportunity to get out and have some fun.

In September 2021 we invited 30+ indigenous young people, and many more of us, to enjoy surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, lunch, red rover, connection, culture, planting native trees, history, walking, yarning, bush tucker cheesecakes and damper, and we finished off with us all creating a hand painting piece to signify our day out, which now sits proudly in our Bundaberg centre.

We worked alongside a couple of community organisations including Port Curtis Coral Coast Trust and the Taribelang Bunda Cultural Aboriginal Corporation helped us deliver the cultural activities at the Innes Park yarning circle. Big thanks also to PCYC, CQID, Enviro Paddle School, Bargara Headlands and the parents / friends who helped us :)
