Prospective Students

headspace Frankston is proud to be able to support future youth/mental health professionals by hosting placements for students. At any time, we have a variety of students from different disciplines.

We are able to offer placements to the following students:

  • 4th year/masters psychology
  • 4th year/masters social work
  • 3rd year/4th year/masters occupational therapy (clinical and project)
  • 4th year/masters counselling

Placements include groupwork, individual work, brief interventions clinic, clinical review, intake/assessment and multidisciplinary support.

All our placements are managed by Placeright.  If you are interested in doing your placement with us, please speak to your education provider about sending us a Placeright request.

All students are required to have a current Working with Children Check and a recent acceptable police check.

Due to the confidential and sensitive nature of our service, we are not able to offer work experience placements to secondary students.
